Tire Minder "noS" Error?

I have been getting this error on the front left tire of my toad. When I got a new car I reinstalled the tire sensors. I still get this error for the front left tire of my car not matter what sensor I put on it. So it must not be the sensor. I sent TireMinder an email concerning this, but no one is responding.

Any idea what is wrong?

Did a search of that error and found another thread here.

May shed some light.

I am surprised you have not received a response. I had some issues with no5 and they have always responded. It has taken a while occasionally but I am really happy with the service.

It means no signal. No signal from whichever sending unit it is indicating. Usually a dead battery in that particular sensor.

This is what I thought it was also. But whatever sensor I put on the front left tire it shows this error. All of the other sensors are registering tire pressure.

Shouldn't this be doing this only for the sensor that is bad and wouldn't it do this at that particular location? I was going to get some more sensors, but I need to know which one is bad. I guess I need to put in new batteries (on order already) and redo the entire installation.

If you move the front left to the front right does the head show that sensor at the front right? If you move the left rear to the left front will it pickup up that sensor?

If these work I would try changing the battery. If not I would delete all sensors and reinstall all sensors.

Good Luck

I did it from front to back and it still showed the error for the front tire. I will play around with it some more this morning.

I wonder if you're having signal blockage issues. Is your antenna extended, and have you tried moving the monitor around? Also, what happens if you hold the monitor in your hand right next to that tire when you reinstall the sensor?

Have you looked at the valve core on that tire. I have some rear inner with extensions that if I do not tighten extra tight will not read properly and will sometimes get the nos.

rkresge

I am standing at the front of the motorhome and the car is about 7' from me with only the windshield between them.

Spk64

This issue has occurred on two different vehicles always on the same front/left tire using multiple sensors.

Do you get a signal when you hold the receiver close to the sensor position in question?

Did you delete and reinstall the new sensor. Once the sensor is slaved to a position on the receiver it will stay there regardless of which tire it is placed on. There is a procedure to delete and reinstall sensors.

This is what I plan on doing as soon as I get some new sensor batteries.

I am having a similar problem. Fortunately, I have a second receiver. I programmed all the sensors into both receivers. The newer one works fine, the older one seems to have become hard of hearing.
