Not sure how using lots of water is going to work when boondocking at dispersed sites in National Forest or BLM lands. Black tank will fill sooner and one will have to find a dump station which may be quite a few hours away

Save the dishwater for flushing. We always had a full grey tank first; not the black tank. After 10-14 days we were full and ready to move on anyway.

RV tanks, black or gray, are HOLDING TANKS they are not SEPTIC TANKS.
Unless you empty them every month I guess. So, no need for special TP or chemicals, use PLENTY of water and you'll be good for years.
Over 10 years of experience and travelling, it's not a park model.

We use RV paper along with digesting chemicals and have never had an issue. Easy test for non-RV This to put a couple sheets of paper in a couple cups of water and shake up. Check in a few minutes to see if it is breaking up. If not, try a different brand.

I talked to an engineer who worked at a paper mill. He told me there was no difference in toilet paper other than the number of plys.

We've used Charmin Ultra for years without problems.

Do NOT use THETFORD brand TP.
I will not go into detail, but from my personal experience just say no thetford paper for me.

Septic safe is best. Keep tank closed until full. Fill tank before dumping.

We use septic safe paper. Where you get it, and the hype it's given determines the price! RV paper is septic safe paper in a different wrapper, and price. Wipes, in our coach, go into dog poop bags, and into the trash, flushable or not! We have a macerator as well as a "regular" toilet. Occasionally our tank level indicators read wrong due to paper on the sensor. The type of paper used doesn't seem to have any affect on this issue.

Being still new at this rv thing I have read many differing opinions on the use of rv toilet paper vs regular toilet paper.
We never have used "RV" toilet paper. Been RVing since '97. We did ask the same question though. A good source suggested taking a few sheets of our favorite tissue, put it in a jar of water, see how long it takes to break down. The RV stuff and generic stuff took the same amount of time. Never an issue, BUT, as someone previously said, use plenty of flushing water. We start with 5 gallons of FW in the tank after each dump.

I began using Happy Campers this year and it’s great compared to blue and orange junk.

This topic has been discussed or at least thought about each flush!
I read two pages in and skipped to the end so apologies if I am repeating. I see many people recommend brands and I would be careful with that. The brand could regionally be different or could have varying types associated.
We were caught having to pull our toilet due to some less than friendly paper wrapping around the macerator in our toilet. Let’s just say kids like to use too much and the paper won.
I recommend you find a couple of acceptable brands/types and test them using this method;
