For less than $8 I replace all 10 of my TPMS sensor batteries every time I change the MH engine oil and I use a repeater. The system has been very reliable for me, alerting me to two fairly rapid deflations in five years (one inside dually valve extender failure and the other was a puncture wound on dinghy). I wouldn't be without it.

By the way.. Where on I-95... I'm 3 miles from Exit 49
Tale of two RVers
Got my pressure pro.. installed it,, Went camping,, about 2/3 the way to the campground the alarm went off,,Low left front tire on towed....
Sure enough it was low... Put air in completed trip, continued to air up every time I drove car,, Towed it home,,,Stopping for air along the way (Thank you whomever suggested that 150 PSI crafstman portable pancake job). Monday I aired it up and went to Tire store... They told me I'd been screwd, but since I had the road hazard warranty they kindly removed the screw and patched (properly) the tire,, Total cost $0.00
The other Rver was in a campground when his Pressure Pro was delivered so he tossed it in the basement intending to install when he got home...20 miles from the CG People are honking and pointing
Tire gone,, Rim damaged, 2 grand in damage to fender, damage to brakes,, ........... (oh, same corner by the way)
Follow up... Really nice PREVOST pulls in beside me (2011) Towing a SUV with the spare on the right front... His tire original tire looked like the one above.... He did not have a TPMS.. Had he had one it would have been Daylight when he set up instead of after dark using my flood lights.

Any TPMS may not be perfect but in my mind they are better than nothing.

Here are 2 photos from my blown Honda Civic front tire. Happened on I-95 southbound in GA in 2006. I saw a large, sharp edged, pothole in the concrete roadway. I straddled it with the motorhome and never thought about my toad hitting the hole. Not certain how far I drove, but a car pulled alongside me and motioned that I had a problem. I never felt anything. Below are 2 photos of the result. Needed new tire and rim.

My DW didn't actually change the tire, as some might have thought, but she was the supervisor in charge. 😆😈 works the same when driving. She's the driver, I'm just allowed to hold the wheel and push the pedals. 😨😃 By the way, I was assisted by a very helpful Texas State Trooper. We almost had to wrestle to see who got the tire iron.
