Toilet Question

In a recent trip we met a couple who graciously offered us a tour of their new coach. During the tour she shared the most useful thing they had bought so far was an automatic dispenser that they installed to automatically add "blue stuff" with each flush. Does anyone have any information on what this system is called, where to buy it and what the "blue stuff" is? I was impressed when she demonstrated it how fresh the smell was as it was being flushed and would be interested in installing this on our new rig!

This sounds like what you described.

2000 Flushes Blue Toilet Cleaner | Toilet Cleaning Products | Blue Plus Bleach

Plumbers don't like the stuff. They claim the chemicals and bleach will warp the rubber gaskets. The gaskets warp anyway so it will not make much difference in my opinion.

Since you really don't need the "blue stuff", why would you need an "automatic blue stuff dispenser"?

Just flush away and be generous with the water unless you are really constrained trying to stretch out the time between black dumps. Don't dump unless thew tank is more than half full ( more is better).

I agree, you really don't need it. Perhaps some folks want to duplicate a commercial restroom feel. They could also add an electric eye toilet flusher that flushes when you're still seated, infrared faucet and soap dispenser, even a Dyson Airblade hand dryer to blast your germs all over the RV. That way the restroom experience is the same in your RV as a rest stop.

We sell them. They are simple to install and work great. Nothing wrong with using chemicals if you want and its a simple way to do it along with keeping the bathroom smelling fresh. No bleach is used in the system and I like the fact that there is a lubricant in the liquid.
