I have not had any problems in our travels going through toll booths. A very tight one was entering the U.S. at Sarnia/Port Huron. I had to maneuver my mirror around a stanchion, and when I exited the booth My mirrors were about 1" from the farther side booth. Tight, but doable.

The Mass. pike lanes are the worst. Every time we go that way the stress level is almost at the max. The issue is you can't see the signage . So now if we are at one of the major entrances I just slow wwwway down until I can find the "any vehicle " sign.

Far right lane, whenever possible. Often means there is extra room on the right side, because there isn't another toll booth there.
