It is a strap wrench that adjusts for the opening size. The strap is rubber and binds against the fitting thereby causing the friction that turns the fitting.

Great for plastic pipe or anything that you don't want to mar. Works pretty good on jar lids too. I get mine at the local Harbor Freight outlet when the two piece set is on sale.

Hardly go to Sears for tools anymore now that Harbor Freight is in town.

Picked up one of these and it has more than paid for itself on the first use:

Also picked up one of these for the Vectra. Just need to add an extension and the correct socket to reach inside the duals.

Am considering one of these the next time it goes on sale or I get a 20% off coupon.
