Do you use the X Chock for long term storage as well? Or does it damage tires when used for long term?

If you are talking about storage where you are not using it, the X Chock isn't the best choice. Regular solid rubber chocks will prevent the RV from rolling. X Chocks are more for stabilizing to help prevent movement when you are walking around inside. But to answer the tire issue, they won't hurt the tires and put less stress on them than the ground the tires sit on.

We did not use any chocks in storage. Flat concrete floor, so no need. Friction of tongue jack held all from movement. However, on the road - X-chocks always and wheel chocks if the grade was unusual. Often chock tow vehicle too.

The tires will age out before you damage them with X-chocks and if stored outside, a lock on the screw provides just that little bit of extra security.
