TPMS Systems in Canada
Hello everyone. Lot of good info here. Been trying to follow up on Tire Monitoring Systems. I didn't think much of these systems till of course I shredded a tire on my Windriver last year. I didn't notice anything and either did my SuperDuty. (I thought I could hear and feel anything unusual!) I probably would have shredded the other tire(s) if somebody hadn't been following behind me and flashed their lights at me like crazy! I was lucky to have a rim left because there was definately no tire. I was lucky this time. Anyways, I always thought I would be aware of such a thing but obviously not, so I'm thinking of an Eez Tire System. I know there's a few on the market but this one seems to fit my situation the best. My question is, and especially to the Canadians, is where you purchased it? Online seems to be the only way. Sometimes that can be complicated up here in Canada. Thanks for any feedback. Jim.

Most large RV dealers will have TPMS or they could certainly order a set for you. You could also attend the nearest RV show and purchase a system there. Of course there is also the option of simply ordering a TPMS from any one of the many online vendors. Online sources in Canada and the US have many brands available to choose from.
How is it more complicated here in Canada?

I was looking at a TST507 myself, not easy to find locally in Canada and as always can be double the price of USA... Online from eBay seems the only way to save money.

I was just hoping to purchase across the counter from one of the local suppliers here. Of course shipping, and exchange plays a part for online ordering. Warranty, if needed, is always an issue dealing online too...but not impossible. I found the TST quite expensive.

If you have Amazon in Canada, you can get ether one there. TST 4 tire monitoring system for $249.00 or Eez 4 tire system for $259.00
I'm also in the market for one myself, leaning twords Eez system.
Hope this helps safe travels

Amazon.ca is another beast than the .com, there is half the things at double the price. Amazon.com rarely ship outside usa too, but sometimes do.

I hate to tell you Jimmy but you are paying for shipping the exchange even when you buy from a Canadian retailer, in fact you are often paying for a whole lot more. You can buy from wherever you feel comfortable but please be aware of the real costs and how badly you may be getting ripped off when buying from Canadian sources.
Amazon.ca
EEZTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System - 6 Sensors (TPMS)
CDN$ 1,686.44+ CDN$ 4.95 shipping ($1691.39 total)
Amazon.com
EEZTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System - 6 Sensors (TPMS)
$309 00 + $6.78 shipping (USD) ($315.78 USD total or $419.02 CDN)
I used Amazon for this example as they have both a US and Canadian location. It must also be noted that the shipping costs are for US and Canadian destinations respectively so you would have to add additional shipping charges to get the US sourced product shipped to Canada. When buying in Canada, you will have to pay any applicable federal and provincial taxes due on the full retail price. When buying from the US you may or maynot be charged Canadian tax when it comes through the border but at worst, if you do get charged the tax it is on a much lower price, the US purchase price converted to Canadian dollars, so you save even more.
I hear Canadian retailers crying all the time about loosing sales to US retailers but gee at a 4X penalty for buying through a Canadian seller they can cry all they want. At that kind of savings you would not have to worry about warranty and exchange. You could simply buy a spare and still be paying less than half.
For me, I live close to the US border, only a short 28 blocks south. This makes it affordable to have a US mailbox to receive shipments and as long as the purchase amounts are below $500 ($250 exemption each for my wife and I) we seldom have to pay any additional tax, duty or other charges.

Yes this is why I am hesitating. We will be visiting the US later this year. I will figure something out. Although it would be nice to have a TPMS System, it won't stop me from having a pleasant journey wherever.

Had it 4 months. Winnebago Forza 36g. 10 sensors for RV/toad. Non flow thru. Works perfect so far. Spent about an hour on first use setup.
