I hope he wins the battle against the county.
It's just a mater of principle with me. He's not hurting anyone. It may be advertisement, but that's what businesses do, they advertise.
Did you read the entire article? He plans on landscaping the area and making it attractive. The burying of the Airstream, he stated, is just the beginning.

Edited: I guess next there will be an effort to get rid of These in Groom, TX.
I hope not.

Here's an update. The owner won the battle but the County says it will keep fighting anyway. Another waste of taxpayer dollars.

The operations manager for the county code enforcement seems to be planning to hassle them with the county's code enforcement and zoning regs, it sounds like this will go back to court soon. You'd think if three judges ruled in favor of having them there the county could just shrug it off and move on.

Sounds to me like the codes guy has a personal vendetta and is willing to spend taxpayer money to get his way. I think the county administrator needs to tell him to sit down and shut up.

Yep, I agree. Maybe he needs to work somewhere else?

Yea, like giving him a "Meter maid uniform" and a parking ticket book, then assigning him a Cushman Scooter. Then telling him he has to stay within the city limits on parking meter duty for the rest of his career.

It's stupid for the county, any where,to go after something like this. I don't drinkbut I don't try to go to court over beer ads.

Trailer Trash or art
I've seen these and I think they're hilarious. It's art, of course. Art as "in the eyes of the beholder". As we've traveled throughout the country it's a delight to see some form of sculpture erupting from the landscape. It's a feast for the eyes and such a welcome reprieve from the endless billboards that range from the ridiculous to the vulgar. Art...for 'art's sake'.

Gotta love the hanging chad state of Florida. It is interesting to see these trailers when on I-4, and they have had a lot of publicity which equates to free advertising, so in that respect mission accomplished.
Boy this place has changed a lot in the last 10 years
