Travel journal
I have looked at past threads concerning this topic but they all seem to be several years old and some of the programs recommended are no longer on the market. I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good Traveling Journal that would work on a Android platform.
We are looking for a program that will work on a tablet and will allow data entry such as :
• Keep a daily journal of your travels with pictures.
• Track daily expenses during a trip and be able to tally the expenses for a total trip.
• Store photos of each camp.
• Store unlimited trip photos.
• Keep notes for each camp.
We are looking at buying a program called RV Companion and I was wondering if anyone knew of a better one out there.

If you click on the App Store on your phone, click on the magnifying glass icon and type in Travel Journal , you will find a few. There is one that is Travel Journal & Travel Log with photos.
I also like to get maps from AAA and highlight all the highways and major routes we follow.

Who needs to access your journal? Are you looking for something for personal use only? Are you looking to share it with others via the internet?
If it's for personal use only - I'd consider using Microsoft OneNote - you can organize virtually any sort of data you care to - in whatever manner makes sense to you.

Our Travel Journal is a simple hard-bound notebook. We note where/when we stayed, key experiences, and lessons learned. It is intended for our reference and to pass on to the next owner at some indefinite point in the future. We did the same thing with our previous RV and the new owner appreciated having it.
There are times when low tech rules...

My wife does something clever to track our trips-Wherever we stop, she buys postcards of the area and then makes her travel notes on the postcards. She then uses a hole punch so she can keep them together with binder rings. She has several 'books' now. And while she looks for postcards, if she stumbles on a cute 't' shirt, well.....

I keep a journal on my laptop that includes what we did each day and what we saw. I created a campground log in Excel and keep track of all the campgrounds and RV parks where we stay. I keep track of the cost, amenities, and other notes of each CG. And we keep track of fuel costs on an app called Road Trip. After each trip, I compile our lodging, fuel and all other costs into an Excel worksheet ... just for fun!
