Traveling From Ottawa to Florida

Planning on taking a trip to Fla around the middle of March. We are heading down to central Florida to catch some spring training. Will be traveling with a Funfinder 210uds being hauled by a F150 2.6l eco-boost. Planning on driving through NY, PA,MD, VA, NC, SC, GA and FLA. I'm not sure what to expect as per weather so will just figure that I have to drive as for conditions here at home. What I would like to know is when should I de-winterize and if I should have chains for my trailer or any other pointers that might make this an enjoyable and safe trip.

We live west of Toronto and always take the 401 to I-75 from Detroit to Florida in January, and return at the end of March.
I would suggest if leaving mid March you should be able to de-winterize with no issues on your 2nd or 3rd travel day.
We stay in our class A starting day 1 and leave it winterized until we hit Florida once we are in a park and simply take water jugs for washing dishes etc. while on the road.
Mid March is usually past the snowy period, cold but not freezing.
I-95 does have some mountainous areas but again, things should be good at that time.
Can't speak to using chains but have never seen them in January.
If you want more detail, contact me.
