Traveling In This Early Winter Weather

As we are preparing to head out on our winter trip for 2013 & 2014, I was curious how everyone is coping with this horrible storm across the mid west? Watching the Weather Channel this morning and with all these tornado's and snowstorm's swirling around do you stay put or try to get the H E Double Toothpicks out of the area?

I hope everyone is safe and gets to the warmer weather quickly.

Not sure I have the right section of the forum.

We are in Western NY, so have not been affected by the weather so far. Long term forecast does not look bad. We are schedules to leave here on Oct. 20th and head to Florida. It will be a 10 day 5 stop trip.

If the weather changes we can gear up a few days early, but reservations are made down the east coast to Fl. so I would have to make sure the first place can take us a couple days early.

We plan to hang out in MN most of Oct, however the very minute the forecast looks bad, we'll be on the road in a matter of minutes. We do this pretty much wherever we are.

I left Minnesota the winter of 72 and never made it back. Of course I still have snow every winter, but not enough to bother shoveling it.
