Trojan T-105 or Interstate again?

Need to replace my 4 x 6 year old Interstate 232Ah house batteries. I'm thinking of going with the Trojan Motive T-105 225Ah type. We dry camp 3-4 weekends a year and the rest with hook-ups. Being in Canada I don't have a lot of choices and shipping costs rule out Amazon. Not fussy about what's cheaper I'm looking for batteries that do the job and give me long service. Thanks in advance.

if just 3 -4 weekends, not a big need imho...

can always use genny and set up AGS to crank up...

We had the large OEM L16's when we bought our used coach and when they went out 5 years ago, opted for the t-105's and have been happy with them...
the only drawback I've found is my autolevelers don't think there is enough battery so I have to run the engine when leveling...

If you can believe it JohnBoyToo our DSDP does not have the AGS feature and have thought about upgrading too that. Though not sure what that involves. Thanks for your feedback on the Trojans.

I have the t105’s and been very happy with the them. They are over 4 years old now and going strong. Use 4 6 volt units in a series/parallel setup. Accidentally took the entire bank down to 4 volts a little over a year ago and they bounced right back. The coach stays plugged in under cover year around

My auto leveling works fine. Did have to pull the compressor and clean the commutator as well as unstick a brush. Dumbest location for that design of compressor I have ever seen

On our second year with Trojan T105 AGM, excellent upgrade for certain
Allowed us to boondock overnight with fridge and heat running and battery left to make coffee before generator run time

I believe you will get a better service life from the Trojans. I also believe you will pay more for them. If service life is what you want by the Trojan's.

Yes they are slightly more money up here but willing to pay for the better battery. Thanks

In reading through the replies to this point, I see no comparisons between the Trojans and Interstates. It seems to be a given that the Trojans are superior!? This could be, but would be good to see comparisons by someone who has had both brands. I always get the Costco Interstates that sell for about $85 last I checked, and have been very satisfied with their performance.

Arizona is BRUTAL on batteries, and my last set of Interstates lasted 6 years which is at least twice as long as anything lasts in our personal vehicles. Heat fries them! I'm sure the Trojans are fine but haven't taken a chance on them being fried in the AZ heat.

I have had many brands over the years.

Interstate batteries came with my winnebago when new had 2 replaced under warranty never got more than 3 years out of a interstate.

I have used Duracell bought on price but lasted 5 years

I buy lots of Walmart batteries for MH and other toys. priced low and never far to find a store.

I Have 6 Trojans now in a golf cart 8 years old they just keep going.

A good thought is the best weigh the most.
