Keep the vehicle well maintained and tuned, and proper air pressure in the tires. And lastly, slow down and drive more conservatively. Also, keep the vehicle loaded as lightly as possible.

Modern fuel injected engines have checks and balances that control the amount of fuel used, based on load and air temp/pressure. Unless you get into the ECM and adjust the long term and short term fuel tables, there's really not much you can do.

I just replaced my cats with straight pipe and my fuel trim numbers are much better now. Went from +12 - +15 to -1 to +3! This is on a 8.1 Chevy in a W24 workhorse chassis.

Interesting UPT!

How many miles on the cats, and what condition were they in once you pulled them?

Have you put enough miles on the coach to see any change in mileage and if so, how much?

Don't bend your elbows.
If there ever is a magic fuel additive to increase fuel mileage, the automakers will be standing in line to purchase the patent.
There actually was a 200MPG carburetor invented. You may view a Pogue 125 MPG carburetor at the Don Garlits museum of drag racing in Ocala FL.; though it is not as simple as it sounds.

I have 120,000 km on it. One was open and the other was fine. I haven't got it out yet, too much snow and slop on the roads here. Planning a trip to Arizona mid to end of March. We'll see how it goes then.

Change your driving habits. There is no need to be the first to the top of the hill. There is no need to be doing 70mph. The front of that trailer is like a few sheets of plywood being held up to hurricane force winds, just what 70mph is. Read the road. take it off cruise control & speed up a little before a rise in the road that you see coming up. Coming off a light is not a drag race. It takes me the better part of a mile from standing start to get back to 65mph.

Fuel additive is fine but it is easy to cancel any savings gained from additive with the cost of the additive.

I remember the old days when we bought things out of a JC Whitney catalogue. We tried everything to increase fuel economy from fancy spark plugs to cutouts on our exhaust pipes that worked with a pull lever. The cutouts didn’t do anything for fuel economy, but boy howdy, you could hear me coming from a mile away. Lol.

Like has already been said There is no magic potion to increase fuel mileage. As far as the Auto Manufacturers buying up a patent on something that did drastically increase fuel mileage they absolutely would. They would then market it with their new models & corner the market for high mileage performing cars & make Billions. They aren't in the fuel business. They are in the auto sales business. In one fell swoop they would blow the electric vehicle idea out of the water & save themselves more Billions in development costs.
