Tucson Bound

We will be moving to the Tuscon area in 2010. Anyone familiar with the area know where RV freindly home tracts are at? Where to stay away from? We want to be away from the city and don't care about commute times as we both are recently retired. Thanks

Hey Bagger,

Tucson is one of those places where development HOAs (which largely ban RVs) are liberally sprinkled in among neighborhoods which don't ban much of anything.

There are many outlying towns and communities which, while having the same basic mix of HOA / non-HOA neighborhoods, tend to lean towards the non-HOA (or at least HOAs which permit RVs).

Your best bet is going to be a realtor. You might try Realtor.com to get an idea of what you'd like. Some of the surrounding areas are:

Sahuarita
Green Valley
Marana
Oro Valley
Catalina
Benson
Vail
Casa Grande
Eloy
and many more

Steve

Contact a number of Real Estate Agents and choose carefully. Make sure you tell them you will not buy a house in a HOA. HOAs MUST, by law, be disclosed. Or, ask if there are HOA areas that provide SECURE rv parking. (some do).
