Ugh....Avoid Kennedale Camper Sale in DFW
You know the drill, search and search and you find the MH that is close enough to what you want that you are willing to make the trip to go see it.
Of course you can't make the deal while you are there, but later phone call from the salesman and you agree on a price and give him credit card information for a deposit.
Get finances in order and make the drive back a few days later to finalize the purchase and.....
wait for it.........
they say "we sold the coach to someone else".
Nice integrity Carl!

Same thing happened to me at a different dealership. The dealership then tried to sell us a pos. We never went back.

Thanks for using the dealer's name in your post. Not from the area but would appreciate the heads up if I were.

If they billed the deposit to your credit card, I would remind them of the concept of "breach of contract" and make them pay for your time, etc.

So, when you paid the deposit, what kind of paperwork was exchanged? I would think you executed some kind of conditional sales agreement that would spell out their ability to sell to another party and under what conditions they could sell to someone else.
If you agreed to allowing them to sell to others then you have no beef. If the contract prohibits that action then you need to have a serious talk with someone in authority at the dealership.
Contract language is important and needs to be read and understood.
I've heard nothing but good reports on this dealership so I'd be surprised if they did anything under the table but I guess everybody makes an error from time to time. I bet if you talk to them they will attempt to make things right if possible.

How many days is a few days 1day 2days 1week. ? we were very pleased with the staff and the repair man who walked us through the inspection, they supplied the lender so they knew we were qualified for the purchase before we left home.

I would never give a deposit without an e-mail showing what I was putting a deposit on!
