Under a Building
Well, we are thinking about going to full time, but we have property in Louisiana that we want to use as a home base and were wondering if anyone has built a building to live in as a base camp sorta when home, with maybe a permanent sunroom attached to the rv shelter,if so does anyone have ideas or pics, thanks

I don't, but that sounds like a great idea. Will you add electricity, water and septic or sewer clean out?
Maybe I can house sit for you when you are gone...

Are you thinking about fully enclosed or more of a carport? I just ordered a 24' x 48' x 14' carport, with partial side walls to 8'. I didn't want a fully enclosed building here in central Texas due to the heat and I don't want to try to AC something that big.

We have a piece if property in Indiana. We have a nice sized garage with a full bath and washer and dryer. We put in a 60 x 22 concrete pad about a month ago.

We stay in the RV when we are there, sometimes for months at a time. We are lucky since there is no zoning in our county. We do not have any type of sunroom.

Many have done it.
In most areas of the country they are called "RV Ports." There are even communities of the same.
Google it for lots of possibilities.

That is what I have been wanting to do. Two places, one in the mountains to escape the summer heat and one south to escape the winter cold. Wanting a couple of acres with an enclosed building for the MH, with enough room for storage and living room, bathroom, kitchenette. Then I could visit snow if I wanted and not have to live in it. And I could visit summer heat, but not have to live in it. Well, I convinced myself, now for the wife.

This reminds me of what they do in Baja, Mexico. They call them Palappas, and they consist of a concrete pad with four posts and a thatched roof to keep the sun off.

Looks pretty simple, look to me just what we want but with a room on the side to sit out without having to have the awing open.
