Does anyone belong to and use the United RV Campers Club? Their web site claims to have 15,000 camp grounds in their system. $ 189.00 per year. Similiar benefits to Passport America. Are their even 15,000 campgrounds in the USA?

Actually, their home page is a bit misleading. That's a surprise, right?
It says they are a gateway to over 15,000 campgrounds, which is indeed about the number of campgrounds in North America. However, their "member parks", the ones where you can stay for $5 or $10 per night, is listed as "hundreds". See United Member Parks
United costs a lot more than Passport America, but offers steeper discounts at their member parks. Check the park member list or the state-by-state maps of their locations. If you go to the right places and stay enough nights in the system, it may be worth the $189 annual fee.

RV Roamer,
I missed that little bit. My suspicious nature was not engaged. Thank you.

Last time the site was updated was 2002. Main part of the site is down for "maintenance". The small part of their site that does work says that they have 300 member parks, but you can't get to the site to see where they are. Beware!

Have had membership since 1999, and as a fulltimer since 2002. Been very happy, and have signed up new members at $99.00 or $9.95 monthly. Also have signed up parks,do wish they would get web site updated. As a FT RVer, Escapee, URVC, and PPA have all been very worthwhile and send out a book of membership parks yearly. Watch the site http://www.freecampgrounds.com (sites are $10.00 or less) with the above have been able to keep avg. cost to under $300.00 monthly, high of $480. - low below $100. Also life member of Good Sam but would not recommend them at this time. United RV offers a referral fee, I like to send mine to the CARE Program with Escapees. That said, if you would like more information on a membership please email mail me for a name and toll free number and/or form. If you list 2-3 states I will look up sites for you. Parks are $5 or $10. some with a $2-3.00 fee for 50 amp. Some parks will be in both URVC & PPA. Sorry for the late post but had been in Canada and off the net.
