Updates to my 06 Pace Arrow

I like the idea of using the Velcro. Mine originally came with a cap screw in each corner, I got to thinking after if the frame caused squeak from being tight it would not take much on the road to remove the frame and with some washers shim it away from the TV.

I shimmed the sides of the TV with some hand sanded wood to keep it from moving sideways, I also put a wood shim on the bottom it. I'm going to attach a wood strip to the frame to hold the top.

Now I need to find a suitable piece of cherry wood to maKe a filler strip for the top and make a shim for the bottom using the peice of wood I have now for a template.

I'm just finishing up a similar installation in my Newmar Kountry Star. I used some foam weatherstripping around the perimeter of the frame for the TV to seat against. Same idea as the Velcro. I just liked the idea of the foam. I also used foam along each side to keep the TV from moving side to side. So, essentially, the TV is cradled in foam. Hoping to take it out this weekend for our first outing and see how it travels.

Thank you I hope it works out well for you, I've got to admit I did not think of using foam.

The only downside to this mounting design is that there will not be the recommended air space around the perimeter of the TV for cooling purposes. I decided to mount it this way regardless and if there is a problem I can either mount a cooling fan in the compartment or add an A/C vent in the ceiling. I believe my A/C ductwork goes up that far.

I've been thinking how to use the foam in the top brace. All my side vents are totally unobstructed.

They say to reinforce the wall it's to be mounted to, I just used a piece of 1/4" aluminum plate cut to size and screwed it to the wall (I also used a few extra screws) to spread the weight around. I used some glue on floor tiles that closely matched the wall paper to cover the exposed aluminum and for all practical purposes you can't tell the difference.

The table now no longer squeaks or wiggles when using the table.

The cost is reasonable and I got a little tour of their facility while I was there as well.

I feel it was money well spent it makes moving the table up or down effortless.

At least four or five times a summer while fueling I've had conversations about putting gas in a diesel, lots of surprised people when they learn it's a gas. I'm thinking the front end will now foster a few more conversations and concerns.

The front end is kind of washed now but still needs a good polish and wax job complete, not to mention a good roof cleaning when I do the roof reseal.

Dang, John! That's some reflection on that front, even without the wax. You put a coat of Meguiars on that, you'll be able to use it to signal boats out on the lake.

I think you & I lucked out w/that era of FW coaches & the full body paint. We get more compliments on it & it'll be starting it's 10th RV-ing season this year.

Glendining 50 amp electric cable reel
(center tube), Progressive surge protector (top left), Onan AGS sytem (upper right side), capability to plug shore power in bypassing surge protector if needed (lower left yellow plug), power use reading (lower right) and shelf on top for containers for water fittings and tow fittings.

Not much room left over for anything else.

Ah ha. You're gonna LOVE that cable reel. We got that one put in last spring (along with water hose reel). EVERY coach should come with a power cable reel.

I spent over four years thinking about installing these lights, where to put them, what angle for front and rears



finally got around to them, got them mapped out for the rear and ready to cut and install






got the wiring harness started





fortunately during a final check before cutting I finally realized that the bow of a boat slants inwards while the flare to my fenders slant outwards needless to say the great bright light does not shine where it's supposed to

Oh well on to the next project.
