UPS- Hold For Pickup

I am going to be in a State Park where UPS doesn't deliver. I need to order something from a vendor that uses UPS and have it delivered to a UPS Customer Service Center. My understanding about how to format the proper shipping address after calling UPS and searching here and on the UPS site is this.

My Name
Hold For Pickup
2345 UPS Street
SomeTown, CA

Can anyone assure me that this is correct or provide me the proper way of doing it? Thanks

Haven't used it as I always wait for tracking info then login and hold the package that way. You can login to UPS after signing up and have it redirect to the UPS center to hold.

You can try the hold for pickup in the address or just do it once it ships.

Why don't you call UPS and ask them? Best to go to the source.

I called UPS and the person kept repeating the same thing, which didn't answer my question. The shipper is within two days of me and sometimes nothing shows up at MyChoice until the morning of delivery. Seems like a train wreck waiting to happen. Don't really want to have the package bounced back to the shipper.

I was hoping that someone with the experience about proper formatting of the address would notice my post.

Back when we had a S&B, we had many items like TV's, computers, etc. held for pickup at the UPS office. We addressed it just like you mention. Now this was almost 10 years ago but I can't imagine it has changed.

p.s. Just wondering why UPS won't deliver to the state campground. A friend of mine has his arm shipped to the park office via UPS, no problem.

Ups needs a valid person is standing there address.

Check with camp host to see if they have something setup for receiving things.

If there is a manned kiosk that could accept your shipment it could work but they may not wish to assume any liability.

I would go to the UPS Service center where you plan on picking it up and have them verify how it should be correctly labeled. That's how we did it with a delivery we had in Virginia while on vacation.

We've found that public parks don't like to get into the habit of accepting packages/mail. They're short-handed as it is. Private parks will do it because they typically have people working in the office.

When we volunteered in public parks we were able to receive our mail through the park. However, quite often park personnel (or us) had to go into town to get their mail. It wasn't delivered.

You'd want to contact the UPS office that will be holding the mail for the correct address.

I used to have a lot of packages delivered like that, worked great until one was sent via FedEx and they tried to deliver it to UPS who refused it.
