We used to go to Mexico in the 80's but me being an LEO it was not a safe thing to do. The Mexicans were detaining and screwing with any LEO's they found on their side of the border. I had to lie on my Visa about my occupation. We quit going there.
The only reason for me to stay away from Canada is they don't like my guns. Canadians tell me how safe Canada is but a friend lost his son to gunfire in Canada during a home invasion. The bad guys seem to have guns.
I wore a badge for 30 years and I sure ain't gonna depend on the government to protect me. I won't go anywhere I can't provide protection for my family and me.
