Sorry I don't read much Latin but I do pretty good Spanish
"Ave César! Nosotros, los que están a punto de morir, te saludan! "

And a little Italian

'Ave Cesare! Noi che siamo sul punto di morire, salutiamo! '

I'd point out the lil' guy is just trying to pull his share of the load, rid your rig of mice!

If you just wave at him from two or three feet, he'll vanish. They are far from brave, more afraid of us than we are of them.

Why-
Yes I do!

With real snakes, too!

Of course, it gets tiring having to bend over and lay my head on the game board...

Yeah, right. You just keep thinkin' that if it makes you feel safe. You obviously haven't been chased by a six foot rattlesnake hell bent on having you for a snack. Been there, done that.

I agree, snakes are cool, err, cold-blooded terror. I have a strict "you go your way, I'll go mine" policy ever since the time I stood barefoot next to the riding mower for 30 minutes working on the muffler. When I started it up and backed out a 20 foot COPPERHEAD slithered out. Ok, maybe only six feet long, but visions of my demise prompted a bit of TERROR.

Then there was the last day I owned chickens. I rushed into the chicken coop to gather eggs before it got dark and grabbed a HUGE chicken snake instead. I called a neighbor and made him a deal he couldn't refuse -- 11 hens, 1 rooster, 1 custom built chicken coop on skids, and 1 snake FREE! He came down with his flashlight and gun, dispensed with the snake and the very next morning his tractor towed it all up the road to his place. The stench of dead snake, for many weeks, reminded me why I didn't enjoy country living.

Curious. Every rattler I've encountered was more interested in getting away from me, something I was quite happy to allow. Now if I had surprised one at close range...

Try picking up a bale of hay that has a snake accidently bailed up in it with its head about 12 inches from my nose. If that don't make you pee your pants !!!!!!! nothing will.

That would push me SO far past peeing my pants..... I've been hearing that line about them being more afraid of me than I am of them all my life and still don't believe it. It's like the one about a rattle snake only striking when provoked.... and going anywhere near them provokes them!
