Virgina Route 460 East of I 77

Hi, I am planning my firsts road trip with my camper from Cincinnati OH to Penhook VA. Has anyone traveled Rt 460 East of I 77? Can you tell me if it is a good road to be pulling a 40' fifth wheel or should i take I 77 down to 81 and go back up to Roanoke. Trip wizard shows us taking Rt 460. Thank you

For me the decision is simple, take 460. The WV portion is mostly 60 mph 4 lane divided highway but the VA portion is a mix of road but still much better than going the interstate.

If you do go the interstate watch your speed as you enter VA through the tunnel as Bland County VA is a speed trap on their portion. Safe travels!

I drove my 40' with tow through Va Rt 460 and enjoyed the ride. You will not have a problem.
