Of course, you weren't in Mexico, right?

Must be the superior ambiance of asphalt and traffic noise.

Can you please share the name and location of this campground, for the benefit of the many RVers who will be headed to Alaska each summer? (And I'l like to call them, confirm all the details, and then add it to my database as well, also for the benefit of those headed to Alaska.)

I guess then was then and now is now... I checked and we stayed at Pioneer RV Park just south of Whitehorse. I checked their website now and their charges are as follows:
Dry parking & tenting:
Lower level - $14.00 per night
Upper level - $17.00 per night
Overflow Area (check at office):
Dry parking allowed by arrangement
RV storage at minimal cost
Check at office
I don't know what the difference is between their dry parking and their overflow area 'allowed by arrangement' means, but feel free to check. The upper level electric and water site we had at this campground was one of the nicest we experienced on that trip.

Thanks for checking. Turns out that since the cost is below $20, I've had this RV Park in the database for about 2 years. But this has been an opportunity to update the listing, so that my website's subscribers will know that the info is current as of today, instead of the previous report in July 2011.

Ok back to our regularly scheduled program.

Im down at the Jersey shore at Capemay.
I had to go to walmarts and notice 5 MH park at walmart.
I do not agree with this but they had there slides out and few even had there awning out. I think they got here early probably a day sooner and waiting to get in to there campground.
I have stayed in a walmarts but did not put out the slides and well did not camp there.
O well just my two cents

Give the poor guy a break -- he started the thread in March of 2009, after all.
