I wonder if we all have this wrong ... maybe Wal-Mart is tricking all of us.

I bet their master plan is to have the world's largest campground chain offering free camping, along with HUGE 24 hour camp stores

As some others have stated, I don't see anything wrong with putting out our slides at Wal-Mart. For us - while our living space is "ok" with the slides in, we travel with 2 Labradors and there is little to no space for all 4 of us with the living room slide in.

We also really need to open the bedroom slide for full access. Sure the DW can climb across the bed to get to her side, but we can't walk across the bottom of the bed when the slide is in as it buts up against the wardrobe.

And ... we don't like to open our slides without leveling the MH. We can hear the slides work much harder when trying to open without leveling - so that means jacks down. We do carry both wood boards as well as composite pads to put under our jacks, so we wouldn't be jacking right on the asphalt.

Now that said .. what about people that are towing a pop-up and stop for the night. Should they sleep in their towing vehicles, or should they be allowed to pop their camper up. You know that will mean putting down the jacks

There have been some pics of pop ups erected at Walmarts in this thread ( good luck finding them) . Some upscale Walmarts only allow Motorhomes 10 years or newer, no tents of any kind
