I read his message to mean that he has found many McDonald's that allow Overnight RV Parking.

There seems to be an increasing number McDonald's restaurants, located along Interstates and other heavily-traveled highways, that have marked long-vehicle (i.e., truck, bus & RV) spaces in their lots, and some of these will allow Overnight RV Parking.

Do we need to start a new thread on Overnight RV Parking at fast food places?

Looking at it from that light, yer right

you big motorhome folks need to putter on down to the nearby KOA and get yer 50 amp service so there's more room and chicken for us smaller folk at the Walmart

.

Most of the crowd I generally travel with tend to be 30 amp service or smaller rigs with ducted or non-ducted single A/C units that can be powered by 3000 watt or smaller generator

And i've never overnighted in a walmart in my life...

But i can whisper louder then the 8kw onan quiet diesel in my giant ostentatious party bus.

Even then, i never ever run it all night.
If you need air conditioning so bad, why "camp"?

A campground owners trade group did a survey about a year ago to determine the average cost of a single night in an full hookup RV site in the USA. The survey result was that the average price was $40.93/night. It's probably gone up since then.

Many McDonald's also have free WiFi or at least an hours worth when you buy something. If you have a good WiFi antenna, you can get it in your coach. I believe many of the McDonalds are corporate owned and they all have it, but the franchised ones have their own options as what to do. There may be a list of those that are free. If somebody knows of one, please post the list.

I've heard rumors that wal-mart was going to stop letting people camp in their parking lot because of some idiot that dumped his black tank in the parking lot.

Walmart campers probably spend at least that much in the store and will usually have something to show for it other than a CG receipt. New toys, supplies, chicken bones, bigger belly, etc.

In most Walmarts, the greeter isn't authorized to state store policy on Overnight RV Parking. The best bet is to go to Customer Service -- usually, they're authorized to grant or deny permission; if not, they'll know who you need to talk to.

We have a 2000 watt inverter and 4 6 volt deep cycle batteries. I also run it on the inverter when we Wallydock. I will run the generator when my batteries need charging.
