Great idea. I'm writing that one down.

I have not stayed in any parking lot for more than an hour (Flying J for about 1 hr) and not a Walmart at all while connected to my 5er.

For those that may not know the above comments are personal opinions from my up bringing and life experiences, your opinion may differ.
You've been invited by Wal-Mart corporate office to spend the night in their parking lots, subject to approval of the store manager. This has nothing to do with opinions, it's just a fact of life.

Slides out or not, that is up to the individual. WM does not take a position on it. The reason you may see more motorhomes than trailers/5th wheels overnighting probably is the reason we have a motorhome rather than something else. No need to exit the vehicle to level it, have dinner, use the bathroom, watch a movie or get a good nights sleep. It's just more convenient for those activities.

You might try staying the night at WM, BCooke, you may find you actually enjoy it!

Do they sell Rum at Walmart ? Our local store only sells beer and wine. How about yours.

Depends on state law, PA only the state can sell.

In PA., you have to bring your own booze. Walmart obviously sells the mixer and snacks.
I'm sure one day we will read about someone having their graduation or wedding party at a Walmart. Circle up the RVs and let the party begin.

Just spent the night at a Walmart in Dubois, Pa. The local volunteer fire dept was giving kids rides around the lot in their fire truck --- with SIREN $ AIR HORN from 6 pm until 9 pm. We were not thrilled, but I guess the kids were.

I hope you were given a rate reduction for the inconvenience.

WA just changed their laws so now lots of stores sell all kinds of spirits, of course the prices went up as the state added more taxes.

I just learned yesterday that WalMart Corporate sent a memo that RVer's are not welcome to stay on their parking lots anymore. That was confirmed by a friend that is a WM Pharmacist. Just FYI.

If changed then it's not on the corporate website yet, until that changes I don't think the report is true. I might be wrong but I don't think so.

If this is accurate, then they need to update their website ASAP. This is from the Walmart Corporate website:

While we do not offer electrical service or accommodations typically necessary for RV customers, Walmart values RV travelers and considers them among our best customers. Consequently, we do permit RV parking on our store parking lots as we are able. Permission to park is extended by individual store managers, based on availability of parking space and local laws. Please contact management in each store to ensure accommodations before parking your RV.
