I DID serve in the Navy but saw no action. Most of the VFWs and American Legion Posts in the area are rather small and not in the best of neighborhoods here. Appreciate the suggestion, though...

I DID say I'd ASK them UP FRONT for what I was going to do. What MORE do YOU want???

I agree with you. Couldn't hurt to ask and what ever the answer, its between you and Walmart and it might be a good solution for you. Your desire and need to park your rig at Walmart should not have any less merit then anyone else's desire to park for what ever reason. Good luck.

THAT is exactly the kind of behavior that will quickly kill the overnight parking privilege that so many of us enjoy. I sympathize with your situation, but hope that you can find another solution. Just MHO.

I agree, but ultimately it's Walmart's decision. I would hope that they refuse your request though. Rent an RV storage area while you do the work.

That certainly seems to be "over the top" to me! Wal*Mart has made a decision to allow people to rest for a while, not trash their lots doing maintenance for a week or so!.

Anew thread. Should I or should I not Pimp My RV at WalMart?
I would hope he wants to park at WM and do the work at his house. I would fight City Hall. One day on the street, one in my drive.

I ALWAYS leave my "spot" cleaner than I found it!! It's not like I'm pulling into the lot WITH my RV but asking before I even bring it up here. Jeeze, SOME People...This city threatened to TAKE my unit away from me! Tow it and impound it for parking it on my own property. I've never had MY table, chairs or grill out or awning opened and have no slides!!

Nuge, Any automotive hobby shops in the area that will let you do the work? Rent a bay for a week?

With your subsequent responses, it appears that you were not asking for pro/con opinions as much as you were seeking affirmation of what you wanted to do.

Great recovery. If you park in a Wamlart free, as I do, we should take anything free and open, such as WiFi. (reaching for 2000 post before this week ends)

Walmarts do not have open wifi sites. If there is an open site where you park on a Walmart lot then it is coming from someone else. Therefore, these wifi posts are completely irrelevant to this Walmart post.
As for the the legality of using an open wifi site, that is also not related to WM. It is just useless jabbering.
