We have ordered a new DRV 5W. It will come with a warranty for X amount of years. Question #1 is do I: 1) Buy an extended warranty now, or 2) Buy one at or near the end of the manufacturers warranty, or 3) not buy one at all due to personal experiences you have had. Personal experiences would be helpful.
Question #2: Do any of you have a warranty through Good Sams? Thanks...

Many will tell you to save your money but for us it was a piece of mind issue. Call wholesale warranties and speak with Stephen Motz. He will answer all of your questions honestly. Forget Good SAMs warranty as I think you will find them to be the most expensive.
We don't do extended warranties. If you opt for one, don't get it until after the manufacturer's warranties expire. Most appliances have three year warranties...refer, M/W, generator, washer/dryer, etc.
