Depends on what contaminants you want to filter for. Here is a link with a lot of info to help you make a decision.

The above link for RV Water Filter Store is great. Questions? Give them a call and they will guide you. Very helpful folks.

I vote Home Depot or Lowes.
I use the same filter housing and cartridge in the sticks and bricks as the coach.
Buy filters at any store in bulk and change yearly.

At first, we used the single filter system, then switched to the triple. The difference is remarkable, water tastes so much better, and the cost was not all that bad. We have been on first set of filters since June, and they are still working great.

I've been happy with this one:

Name:	ProAqua+.jpg
Views:	22
Size:	69.2 KB
ID:	377907

available here: https://www.amazon.com/PRO-AQUA-Soft...ve%2C64&sr=1-1 for $49.99

I use it in line with a portable water softener. The PRO+AQUA RV Water Filter allows for easy regeneration of the water softener.

The replacement cartridge is $14.99 and the clear case allows a visual cue when the cartridge needs to be replaced.

Take care,
Stu

Hi Stu! That one just gets the larger stuff out. It is not rated to remove lead and other harmful things. I use the large Camco blue filter in the freshwater hose, and a 1/2 micron carbon block under-sink filter, with separate faucet, that is NSF53 rated to stop the bad stuff.

The PRO+AQUA FC-9-PF is a dual two-stage filter in one. The first stage filters sediment, dirt, sand, and other particles down to the 5 micron level. The 2nd stage Coconut GAC filter filters chlorine, taste, odor, rust particles, and much more to greatly improve the quality of your water.Includes one replaceable premium dual filter cartridge. Filtration begins with water traveling through the porous polypropylene material openings no greater than 5 microns in diameter. Filtered water passes through a bed of premium Coconut Shell GAC (granulated active carbon) for further filtration.

Camco’s TastePURE RV/Marine Water Filter reduces bad taste, odor, chlorine and sediment in drinking water with a 20-micron sediment filter. Also features GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filtration in combination with KDF to prevent undesirable bacteria growth when the filter is not is use.

I believe that the OP was looking for a "whole house" recommendation and I'd think that a 5 micron filter with an activated charcoal 2nd stage would be adequate for whole house application.

Take care,
Stu
