water heater problem

I have a 2002 Titanium 37 ft 5th.wheel i purchased used 2years ago. I started having problems last year when working off of the fresh water tank only. the problem is when using the hot water it will fluctuate from hot to cold. All valves for the by-pass are in the proper positions and when working off of water tapped in all is well. This only happens when working off of the tank. I was told by a few people that there is a valve in line from the tank that is suppose to mix hot with cold water to help give the impression you have a larger water tank than 10 gallons and/or sense the water being to hot and cool it down some?? Can anyone out there confirm this valve and explain where it would be on the titanium. thanks

Welcome nickjoe41 to irv2.
Not knowing which water heater you have some people will open center bypass valve to cool hot water.
If you have a outside shower and valves are not completely closed you will also have tempered water out of your hot water faucets inside trailer.
Most WH's have a set temperture that cannot be adjusted.
If you have a mixing valve it may have to do with a MFG option for your trailer.

The Atwood XT series of heaters provides an effective 16 gallons of hot water output by mixing cool water with extra-hot water from a 10 gallon actual tank. I don't think that model was available in 2002, so doubt if you have one.
