Lots of ideas here, all valid to some degree and none perfect.


Yes you can put a hole in the topper and let the water drain onto the slide roof and off the sides. The topper is not intended to keep the roof dry - it's primarily a debris catcher.


My personal take is to let it pool. If I think of it after a rain, I might bring the slide in several inches to expedite draining, but it's no big thing except maybe that dirt collects.


I've tried the beach ball and similar tricks and none seemed [to me] to help enough to be worth the effort, but opinions vary.
