Not going to argue the point further, or suggest it's the only solution. It's something that's easy to do and cheap to try, and you can't hurt a thing doing it. Do as you like.

Not arguing just providing information based on 30 yrs of thermodynamics theory and experience in water systems , boilers, high/low pressure systems using extraction steam, vacuum and pumps of all designs.

I don't generally go around bragging about it, but mine based on 20 years experience as a service manager at a larger RV dealership.

The best solution to annoying pump cycling is the installation of a pressure accumulator tank, which I have done. One major benefit is that the pump won't start when you use the bathroom in the middle of the night, provided that you have run the pump prior to going to bed. I got a tank from Home Depot.

I discovered my pump stoped the pesky cycling after I ran completly out of water and refilled.
As time went on the pesky cycling would reappear.
Suprise suprise, when I ran, completely out of water again, and refilled, it was gone again.
I installed a Lowe's potable water accumulator. Cut a tee into the cold water line, anywhere after the pump, and all fixed.
Like others said, no pump run for midnight potty breaks.

This comment is NOT aimed at anyone, just an observation.
Having been a general contractor for over 38 years, I observed that many subcontractors who stated that they had 10, 20, 30 years of experience clearly demonstrated that they only had 1 year of experience 10, 20 or 30 times.
Continuous learning is what counts, not years. I'm still learning new things every day, sometimes from a first year apprentice!
