Water Stains
I have water stains on the ceiling inside of my motorhome, Does anyone know how to remove these stains. They have beeen there a while.

You can try Oxy-Clean. It worked on some material for us.

 Not knowing what type of material you have, be carefull and try a spot for testing, maybe inside of a cabinet etc. Oxiclean as before mentioned is the best, just spray a small amount(do not soak) give it time to absorb, and use a wet sponge to wipe off. For really stubborn stain, a 50/50 mixture of water & bleach will work, just be carefull not to get in your eye's or breathe it. White vinegar will kill the odor. JMHO.........good luck

I have used one of those ''portable steamer things'' like you see on TV. Mine was from a leak around my TV antenna handle. I hit it with Oxy clean and let it set and steamed the heck out of it and I could not even find where the stain had been.
That'll be ten cents for this valuable info and you must pay me the next time you see me....

I will and cannot speak about using this on your ceiling. Your problem could be mold. In our business we must deal with Iron and Manganese stain very often. We mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar and it really removes mineral stains. If you want, just use a spray bottle and do a test spot. Might even take a Q-tip and blot a one square inch spot.

There is an aerosol product that covers stains very well if you cannot remove them. It is available from wall-covering stores I think. It is made/designed for acoustic ceiling panels. I doubt it would work for patterned surfaces though.

Spot Shot will work. Get it at WalMart's etc, Spray it on, let it set a min or so and daub it off. Do not scrub it in. It should lift the water stains off.

One last suggestion concerning stains on the ceiling ....TRADE COACHES... lol....
A water stain on the ceiling is the for bearer of bad tidings like flat tires, burned out water pump, wiper motor not working, trouble with your sink and toilet, your micorwave stopping just when you want popcorn, your dog getting sick on your sofa and your wife leaving you for a man that is a lot younger than you with a 6 pack belly and a head full of hair. I have seen that happen to a friend of mine. I got a water stain and immediately traded coaches and every thing is fine now.......... (cough cough)
this valuable advise will cost you ten cents and you must pay me the next time you see me...........

It was cheaper to use extra strength oxyclean than trade the coach, thanks to all who gave some good advice

i used straight bleach in a spray bottle for mine, worked good, looks good, i'm happy with it, and so is DW>........
