Wayfarer power

I am looking a the 2019 wayfarer and my main concern is does it have enough horsepower to take in the mountains. I live near Pensacola fl. The closest thing we have to a hill is a sand dune. Also is there anything else I need to know about the wayfarer

That's the Tiffin class C built on a MB Sprinter chassis, right? I'd expect it performs like the several other brands built on that chassis. Are you wondering about the Sprinter-based coaches vs larger but more powerful Class C coaches that use the Ford E450 or E350 chassis?

"Enough horsepower" is very much a personal perception. They can all get over the mountains, but some will be slower than others and/or be unable to accelerate on the uphills. They get the job done, but not with the same level of satisfaction in the seat of the driver's pants.

The more important thing you should heed is the CCCC of the Wayfarer.

I have a 2017 Winnebago View with the same Sprinter chassis and 42k miles on the odometer.

I have driven the View over the Rockies a number of times dragging my Jeep. Does it have the power of my big class A? No way.

Does it have the power to climb mountain passes? Definitely even with a tow. You WILL have to downshift from overdrive when you're climbing.

I'm taking it to WY and AK starting next week so I'll again be climbing some big mountains!

What, exactly, are your concerns? Are you worried it might not make it up a hill and will roll back down backwards?

Your bigger concern will be going down the other side without toasting your brakes if you ride your brakes and/or do not down shift.
