Remember, tv stations have to attract you to make you watch their commercials, this is where they get their money $$$. “We are the most accurate!” “We are the first to bring you breaking news!” “We are the most trusted!” We have the best BS is what they are really saying. Hype media. Ever notice that they hire the sexyist woman to do the weather and traffic? And that the weather portion is nearly a third of the program?
Two catch phrases run the media: “If it bleeds it leads” and “sex sells.” Really. Sit back and take a good look at how they do their business. My father was in the advertising business for decades and he taught me a lot of their tricks used to sell products.
I like the weather channel in between their shows on it (cable tv channel), the weather on the 8’s will give regional current and a 24 forecasts. Quite reliable. The NOAA app and a few other apps are far better than listening the the bobble heads on tv. Even the local weather forcast on the small town radio in my home area is accurate and to the point, but that is only for the local area within a 100 mile radius. But thats all I need to know about where I’m sitting.
Stay dry and wheels on the ground!
