Westinghouse iGen2500

Anyone own one ? Impressions ? They seem to have a "leg up" on all of the "suitcase" style generators at 2500W starting and 2200W running even over Honda and Yamaha.

Less expensive than Honda or Yamaha but more expensive than Harbor Freight Predator or Champion.

I researched that same unit for our travel trailer. You tube videos show that gen is capable of running small ac unit. Then I started looking at reviews, many failures after several months and some are saying it puts out more power because the engine really rpms at high demand allowing for more wattage output and sooner failures, its also chinese. If I break down to buy one I think its gonna be a honda 2200.

I don't hold either of those against it.

I am still looking for first hand reviews !

I can only give first hand review of the Predator 3500 inverter gen.
I like it.

I purchased a Westinghouse iGen2500 last spring. Starts reliably and runs my 15K A/C with the MicroAir Easy start installed. It is as quiet as claimed. Probably about 30 hours on it so far and have had no problems.

It is a reasonably priced generator with enough power to run the A/C but still small enough to store in the pass thru storage in my trailer and light enough to easily handle.
