What are your "must haves"?

Hello all. I just made the jump from a pop up to a travel trailer. Aside from the essential must haves , what are some of the creature comforts you can't go without?

Wheel chocks come to mind... Never had a pop up,,, but a TT is a different animal... Leveling blocks,,, if you don't have already, you should know already sewer/water hoses with a water pressure regulator,, a electrical surge protector,,, check the tire threads,,, be aware of 'china bombs' ,,, a good anti sway load equalizing hitch,,, And if you don't feel safe,,, slow down ! Once you get the feel for the bigger trailer,,, and get it setup right,,, Other people can pass... No biggy,,, be safe and have a good time !!!

Welcome aboard -

If you need a few thousand suggestions, stop by this thread. Not all apply to towables, but if you sift through, lots of good ideas:
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f59/what-...-rv-89600.html

Now, my 'help'
- TPMS system
- 2 current date and larger then a manufacturer supplied fire extinguishers I think we have 5 or 6 in our 5er
- Better 20 feet of slinky sewer drain hose and fittings then the usual blue piece of junk plus a Valterra secondary shut off valve with a clear section
- An extension for the usually too short supplied cord (30 or 50 amp)
- Any adapters from 50/30 to 20/15 amp service
- A good 50' length of non kink ( if that's possible! ) 5/8" drinking water hose
- Leveling 'legos' or boards
- Whatever comfort items you use in your home
- Patio mat or rug
- BAL X-chocks work well (pair)
- Small hand or stick vacuum plus a good broom
- a 45 or 90 degree water inlet hose fitting

There are lots of ways to spend your bucks and for sure many (most?) are not necessary but nice to have (or so you think)

Nice big outside mat (compact & foldable)
outside grill & side burners
Timberidge good chairs Costco/Amazon the better one$
Awning anchors
Mid size table.
Night lights, be creative.
Insulated beer glass,& insulated wine glass
electric chain saw & mini hydraulic wood splitter.
Dyson cordless vacum
Honda 2000xi quiet gen.
2 fantastic fans, always leave bathroom one on low exit.
Pacific coast 2 inch cotton mattress topper.
3 - 10 foot water hoses
electric leaf blower (takes same batt as chain saw)
4 scissor jacks with DeWalt 3/4 impact 20 volt to raise and lower rig.
Try to make as many things have multiple purposes, like the DeWalt impact battery also does double duty as flashlight battery.

I opted for the 12 gauge with folding butt and slugs.

I transferred everything I had for my PUP to the garage while I await my TT to arrive (finally finished and is awaiting shipping).

#1 A 4" foam topper mattress.
After that the usual list:

Safety:
WDH + AS
brake controller
Anderson levelers if you have dual axles.
TPS system
Extra 9V batteries for smoke detectors
2+ fire extinguishers

For Boon docking:
2 x 125AHr Deep cycle batteries
200W solar panels + charge controller
3000W generator for A/C or battery top off in the AM.

And the rest you should already have from the PUP.

Lots of good advise so far, so I will not repeat what others have already mentioned.

One item not mentioned yet, that I always have available in a storage compartment: Bow Saw.
Through the years, I have camped in several places that had a low limb or two. It is pretty simple to climb up on top of the camper and cut off the low limb that will allow you to get in the site, without risking damage to your camper.

**It's probably a good idea to check with the park official, before cutting a limb from a tree (however, I am not sure I ever have)
