What Did Your Dealer Give You....? On Pick Up Day?

I was rather surprised when stopped by our dealership. On our 5r we pick up today, they are throwing in all the converter plugs for the 50 amp service down to the 15 amp.

That was something I had anticipated buying now I do not have to,

Is there anything your Dealership "threw" in for you Free?

It's been awhile since we bought a coach, but the salesman gave us a nice bottle of wine and the dealership had already provided a "welcome package" which consisted of a water hose, RV toilet paper, sewer hose, and tank chemicals, plus two nice insulated travel mugs (with the dealership name on them, of course).

Well we already had everything we needed since this was an upgrade. But they did provide in home service for me. Day after we took it home I noticed a bubble in the back wall that looked like delamination on a brand new trailer. Service manager came to the house, diagnosed it, took photos, did all the paperwork and had the new rear panel on its way before he called to tell me what it was. They have been great.

When the manufacturers start incentivizing the dealers on the sales and service they provide, then the quality of service and sale will improve dramatically. Until then, nothing will improve.

As to what did you get, nothing more than you negotiated as part of the sale. Unfortunately, follow up service and support, is not in the dealers contract. Fortunately, several of the manufacturers care about there reputation and follow on sales...then they show it through high quality customer service and factory support.

While ours was a private sale we did end up with a set of Sunguard's for the front, sides and wipers. The previous owners had no idea what they were. We also got an outdoor rug that again they had no idea what it was. Those along with the cords, adaptors and hoses and we were pretty much set.

1/2 tank gas, full propane, wash, $50 coupon for their store, left everything in the basement, including new dump hose, patio mat, patio screen, 3 tables, 2 BBQs, awning tie down kit, road-side reflectors, clear dump elbow, 50>30>15 adapters, etc. This thing was ready to camp, just add food, water and clothes.

Yes, I suppose you could say I did. Of course, I own a used TT I bought for 3200 dollars. For that price I'm glad he didn't just give me the shaft.
