Shell Rottella 15w-40 dino. Probably the most popular oil for diesel engine. Dispensed by Speedco locations, which I use for service.

Available at Costco.
I buy it on sale.
Now, back to my coffee so I can wake up.

Rotella. BJ's wholesale was the best deal but last time I checked our local one they stopped selling it Walmart still has it for a pretty good price for 2x2.5 gallon jugs. The big jugs are a little hard to handle so a helper is nice to have just to hold the funnel.

I guess the poll is about the brand, not the price. Rotella is one of the tried and true diesel oils that has been proven over the years. Synthetic sounds good but I believe Cummins says the change interval is the same with it so I can't see the point. Whatever you are comfortable with, just change it when it is supposed to be.

Royal Purple 15w-40..... I trusted this oil in my race motors that cost 90k.

Why not trust it in my daily drivers and Coach..

Amsoil full synthetic in the transmissions

API specs are fine, as long as you change the oil according to the owners manual schedule. Those automotive engineers actually do know what they're doing in regards to this.

Cummins filled mine with 14 gallons of Valvoline Premium Blue when they rebuilt the engine in 2015.
