What do you pay for insurance on a Class A?
I am going to be buying my first Class A motorhome soon and have a question about this insurance. Can some of you tell me what you pay for insurance?
Please post what company and how much for a class A about 30-32 feet and 3 or 4 years old. Thanks!

There can be no meaningful answer to that, since insurance premiums vary tremendously by locality, individual, insurer, and the coverages you get. As much as 2x or 2.5x difference is common, even for similar coverage. For example, rates for a vehicle kept in south Florida will be 50-75% greater than one in north Florida, even with the same owner.
Would you have collision and comprehensive insurance in addition to vehicle liability? What deductible amounts? Personal effects coverage? Is it a high end diesel or a low end gas unit (wide difference in value).
My advice is to contact an RV specialist insurer agency such as Miller RV Insurance or Farm & City, and ask them to get you some quotes. They will work with you on what coverages you need and then find the most attractive rates for your particular situation.
To give you a ball park, you could be looking at anywhere from $600-$1500 yearly.

About $700 a year with Progressive. Also that is Southern California. They were the low bid when I got quotes.

Try AARP/Hartford. Full coverage with roadside and I am full-time though not in transit yet. Added Jeep below full coverage as small finance on it. Both were less than progressive for just car. Go figure

Prices will also differ depending on coach value, deductibles/terms, expected usage (especially miles driven), storage location, and full-timer address.

Just call and get some quotes. Depends on the value, your driving record, where you intend to keep it, miles driven each yr? Generally speaking based on your previous budget I would plan on $600-$1200.

Call this company and they'll search and get you the best price:
Miller Insurance Agency
They are familiar with full-timers and in reading your other posts, I think that's what you will be.
Every rate by anyone else will be very different from yours. Rates go by your address, RV size and age, your driving record, your age, your credit score and other factors.
Good luck!

15 year old 29 ft Class A motorhome through local State Farm (same as car insurance) comprehenisive with towing insurance coverage $82 per month in Louisiana (I think $890 if prepaid for a year). Could have probably shaved a bit off by shopping around, had a quote from Progressive for about $750 per year without towing insurance.

I don't have a rig yet. I took a VIN for a 2014 35' Bounder and got a quote from my Safeco agent. $625.00 per year.
I did not mention anything about towing, so maybe some extra for that?

That sounds extremely low, something is missing?
