What do you think about my new curtains

Im not a decorator, but i wanted to get some curtains to help the RV stay cooler. The thing was i had to find a design that had at least 6 packs of curtains on the rack so that i could have them all match.

I think it turned out nice. Im sure maybe the ladies may not like my choice but thats OK. I know i had to cut a few of them, as you can see i dont cut a straight line lol but sometime on the road if i run across someone that sews ill have them hem them for me so they look nice.

I think the black goes well with the black in the window border design.

I'm sure they are lined, so the lining takes the heat and you could have any color on the inside - correct? Looks good to me.

Dave, looks good. Just so you know, they make a tape to hem the drapes, no need to sew. You should be able to buy it anywhere they sell sewing supplies.

Dave, they look good. Did you take the day/night shades out? How did you hang them. I would like to do something like that in our motorhome. I'm guessing you had to take the valance off? Thanks, Brenda

Thanks, no i left everything as it was. The shades are still up and so is the valance. I measured the width end to end and then went and got adjustable rods for that width. I made sure not to get the huge round ones but to get ones that would adjust to that length but were as small diameter as possible.

The rods are also spring loaded so that you can compress them alittle and schooch them up into place.

The curtains are light weight enough to stay up there. The long wide window in the back i did have to put a screw in the middle to support it, it prob would have been fine but i wanted to be sure.

The ony thing that gets even in the way a bit is the clear adjusting rod for the blinds, it is sort of pressed up against the blinds, but thats ok.

I got everything at walmart. The trick is to be able to find all the right sizes you need of the same pattern. Sometimes i had to go with the longer ones and then work on getting them hemmed.

My hemming lady decided she didnt want the job so sometime along the way on my trip ill pay someone to do it, i really dont like the tape.

I think all together it was about $110 for the project

Will tape take the heat and last long term?

Thanks Dave. I think I will take the shades out because they are a pain in the butt. If I had mini blinds I would be happier. I agree the tape just doesn't do as nice a job as hemming. Now if I can just find a good solution to the front window curtains, I'd really be set.
