I use a Frigidaire 50-Pint Dehumidifier. It sits center of the coach on the table across from the sink. I have a small garden type hose running into the sink for the drain. It's been draining into the grey tank since August and just now reached the 1/3 sensor. I also keep the AC set on 80* which helps control the moisture. This winter I will set the furnace on 40* and let the dehumidifier run also. I keep the humidity in the 40 to 45 % range. Seems like this 50-pint works much better and runs less than the previous 30-pint unit.

We have always used damp rid in the closet and under the sink. We spent last winter and spring in the Pacific NW. We bought a Frigedaire dehumidifier to deal with the high humidity. Between both, we can handle any humidity we have seen so far.

When in storage in the garage, we also use damp rid buckets. Works fine. BUT I am looking at a powered dehumidifier for when we camp in cooler weather.

Added a 6.5oz damp rid bucket today and looking at this for a more aggressive approach when needed.

Only holds about a quart but that should be plenty.

I only get to check on my travel trailer once or twice during the winter. How quick do those damp rid buckets fill up?

Obviously the bigger ones last longer... I would say around here,, yes humid in warmer months, they last 3-4 months.... In dryer winter, longer... They won't 'over fill',, they just quit working. We use them in the sticks and bricks also...

If you get the Damp rid buckets don't throw them out just empty and by more at Walmart, I have three because it is in storage about every three months I clean them out and change they seem to work well.

I would think three would be about right . This is what I have been using for about 20 yrs. in my boat and now MH. I use two of the black basket style and now with the MH I throw in the extra one.
