It was an early symbol of fertility and propagation rites before and during the period of the Druids in Iceland and the Northern regions of what is now Sweden, Norway and parts of Finland. Amazing how the brain can decipher differences in what the eyeballs see...my eyes are aching but I finally see the mushrooms. I remember when this was a lot easier to do when I was younger and did not wear glasses. Still, it's pretty cool.

Same here. I’ve stared at and through that picture all week. Finally took my glasses off and there it was immediately!
