More than likely. All 4 of the Newells my old man has owned could be dumped without going outside if you left the valve open. Which makes no sense to me, but it can be done.

Wasn't it the Dave Matthews Band that the driver got caught dumping the tanks into the Chicago River? If memory serves me correctly he ended up dumping the tanks onto a tour boat on the river. I guess that might have spoiled the dinner cruise.

http://www.cbs46.com/story/33418363/...to-storm-drain

"CBS46 reached out to the DNC, which issued the following statement:

This was an honest mistake and we apologize to the Lawrenceville community for any harm we may have caused. We were unaware of any possible violations and have already taken corrective action with the charter bus company to prevent this from happening again. Furthermore, the DNC will work with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as well as local and state officials to determine the best course of corrective action."

Oh it was a mistake....! There was no intent to do any wrong doin.
Come on guys we all know leased charter rock star/politician buses go to the venue and hotels. Never get near a sewer dumpsite. The driver is responsible to have empty potty tanks for the elite customers. They dump everywhere, and get caught some times. I recall the rock star band bus that dumped on the grated draw bridge on Chicago River awhile back. Would have got away with it had he not dropped dead center on a tour boat.

Yes all Hi end coaches have remote dump valves. And for less then $100 bucks you can have one too...! just sayn

Edit: Thanks Wnytaxman I couldn't remember which band it was.

I don't know how it works today but years ago a lot of the "Over the Road" busses (think Greyhound) had driver controlled dumping. Their maintenance yards had designated spots where they positioned the bus, let the dump go, and that was it. They were like small concrete pits that caught the output. Don't know exactly how they worked but the purpose was obvious...it was needed, it was efficient, teamsters sure weren't gonna do it, the EPA didn't rule the universe. Maybe they can still do that somehow.

And for how long did the train company’s dump on the tracks? I know for a fact our scout troop was put in the old first coach in the eighties and when I used the toilet I could see RR tracks going by. Never thought about it till that moment.
