Since you don't have to be a member of Good Sam in order to take part in the Open Roads Forum, the expiration date on your Good Sam membership card has absolutely nothing to do with your problem.

Try one of the other portals to the Open Roads Forum...the one over on RV.net works just fine. Of course, if you want to reply to any of the threads, you will have to register on that site, since each portal requires it's own registration.

I think GS copied Microsoft, design it, then put it out there and hope the users find, then report, the glitches.

I haven't been able to get on the GS forum for a couple of weeks. I switched to RV NET and got in that way until today and now I can't get in that way either.
I have a Harley so I also belong to:

The HD forum has been screwed up for about a month. You can get into it but as far as posting it is touch and go.

So....as of TODAY...in the past 1/2 hour, here's what I'm experiencing:

I google "good sam club". I can get on the main page site...where it asks me to "sign in". (My e-mail address and my user-name). I do this, and get re-directed to another page that asks for my "user-name"...this I do, only to be told that the "name" is "currently being used". (Gee...I wonder who)
So...I can't get into the GS home page. However, from there, I can get into the "forum". I click on "my forums"...it gives me the forums I've contributed to...so I think I'm in! Wrong.
I wanted to respond to a topic...and I could type to my hearts' content...but nowhere could I find "submit".
So...I'm locked out. As for the poster (here) that said membership has nothing to do with anything...I might suggest you're wrong. I let my GS lapse last month.

GS will do the same to me,can get the forum but can not send any replies.
My membership card is valid to november. 2009
It asks for me to buy a new membership and when I fill out the app. it says that name is used?

I was able to get into the "new and improved" GS site today.. and too the forums... BUT..it is extremely sloooooow... so maybe they are still working on the improvements..

I was on RV.Net yesterday and worked ok. Tonight I am unable to get on the Open Roads forum page. My browser says it can't find the site. That has got to be the single most unreliable site on the net. Too bad, too, there are some very interesting discussions there too. BTW, I have never had a problem logging in to this site where the discussions are equally as interesting.
