Driving around Nashville a couple of weeks ago we were listening to Hank Williams.
In Texas near Austin last winter it was Waylon and Willie. When we were by Houston it was Janis Joplin and Johnny Winter.
Memphis was Elvis, New Orleans Dr. John.
Stones, Animals and other 60's and 70's rock in between.
Were headed towards Rhode Island and Maine this summer. Not sure what I'll break out for that trip.

Mix it up. Some oldies, classic country, gosple bluegrass, southern gosple. And every now and then some folk music.

My preference was always older country from the 50s and 60s. Then a few years ago, after listening to some Boots Randolph music, I decided to learn to play one of those things (saxophone). I was 73 then with no music background. Little did I know how much was involved. I got a few lessons, my wife tolerated it, and has provided wonderful support. Now at nearly 77 I can play Irish music for her, and all sorts of music for myself, and her. I've read where it takes 10k hours to become a proficient player, so I'm thinking I'll never get there, but it's sure been a lot of fun.
As a result of this I've come to appreciate a lot of music and play it when we travel. We also take along a horn or two. I woke up this morning humming "The White Cliffs of Dover", if anyone knows what that is. It just goes all over the place, sometimes it's a hymn, or? I've read that music is good for the soul, and I believe it.

Pandora Radio
I always have music playing because the DW LOVES her music. We listen to it while driving, riding the motorcycle, relaxing in the yard and at bedtime.
The stations vary from Beatles, Cold Play, The Kinks and Santana Radio while driving which sets the rig in motion and Philip Wesley Radio at night.
Life is a musical experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one has mentioned sports. I like them if a "home" team is playing. Also talk radio.
Dix, Interesting you picked up sax. That was the first instrument I scratched off the list when I started in '53 (too many keys). I wound up on t'bone (no keys).

Ha, I don't think any of them are easy. Do you still play?
I think I liked the sound of a sax and didn't know any more than that. I do remember someone asking once why I picked an instrument that required four hands to play. :-))

Willie is still going strong.
Wouldn't buy his used motorhome though...
I bet it wouldn't pass the sniff test.
