Motorhome storage

I live in the middle of the woods so most of the day is shaded so I only wanted a pad that was level, close enough to run 30 amp power and good drainage so the underside wouldn’t rust out on me.

Outside, on the property. Plugged in to keep batteries fresh and ready. Great place to have a morning coffee or evening outdoors picnic.

Not sure if the ones you are referring to are for gauging distance or alignment but when I had my concrete saw cut after being poured and finished, I specified to the guys exactly where I wanted the cuts made in purpose of using the saw cut line in my RV bay as my gauge for backing the coach in. I can easily put my tires on the side of the line and keep it parallel with both the lines and the wall this way.

We live in a subdivision in Tampa Bay, FL with no room to store our 36' Super C, and an HOA that only allows coaches to be brought to the house for loading and unloading. Until recently we rented an outdoor covered space in a corporately owned facility that catered to RV & boat storage. However, they have raised the rent almost 100% in the past four years to the current rate of $300 per month. The cost is especially high for us because we take our rig to our lot in the Smoky Mountains for 5 months each year (mid-May to November). So that cost us $1500 per year for a space we were not using. The owner group then eliminated access to shared electrical outlets that could be used for short periods to charge batteries and prepare residential refrigerators for travel. That was the final straw. We now rent an uncovered space in an RV/boat storage facility with no electric for $90 per month that we will use November to mid-May.

Just bought it, so 1 week before the purchase I hand dug a 10 by 20 foot pad alongside an existing 2 bay garage in order to store it. After the purchase, I hand dug another 2 feet at the entrance in order to get it in and out. After using it once, I hand dug another 2 feet because I suck at figuring out angles for getting 20 foot vans into small spaces.

Thinking of extending the roof off the existing garage in order to cover the RV when it's on the pad, but the missus is understandably nervous about that at this point....

We had a outside storage area for a few months until going full time. Sold the sticks an Bricks. We were looking to buy a parcel in Florida to park and somewhat live at times.
As well we travel abroad for 1-2 months at a time.
Currently looking for options to store during those times preferably in Florida and inside with some power options to keep the humidity down and basic battery charge so following the thread for ideas.
As well, anyone have a space and want to earn a few bucks message me please!!!
Oh some of the buildings Ive seen posted for inside private storage are simply awesome!!!

We just switched from 'covered' to fully enclosed. What a difference! We have 100amp service, our own locks on the door, and concrete floor. Things stay so much cleaner, I have room for my trailer, I can work on the unit (even run the A/C for inside work). I can start the fridge the day before we leave. Just all around it is a much better situation and much greater peace of mind.

"The Hangar" - an over-size carport big enough to hold all our vehicles, tractor, mowers, even the boat.
