What to do with a tip-drawer?

I have a tip-drawer as the top drawer in my kitchen and one of the ears on the plastic organizer tray just broke off. I can easily replace the tray, but wondered if there were any good ideas for other uses for this space. An actual drawer cannot fit due to the proximity to the sink, and the tip out tray may be the best option, but I'm open to ideas!

Mr.Woody-

I measured carefully, and found I could install a drawer. It is shallow and goes partway under the sink, but it is deep enough for a cutlery drawer, and in the perfect location for one. I used the tip-out "drawer" front on the drawer. It looks as if it came that way from the factory.

I bought the drawer with slides from "Shelves That Slide." Link is here.

Ordering info is also below. You may need a different size.

The filler piece on the left side of the opening is just a piece of pine 1x2 that I cut to fit tightly. It's not glued or fastened in. The left-side slide keeps it in place.

One more thing- If anything in the left side of the drawer was piled higher than the drawer side it would drag on the underside of the sink. I figured clearances pretty closely.

The only option I can think of is to install a shallow shelf behind the drawer door. What are the dimensions of the opening and depth from the drawer inside face to the sink?

Smile

Use it for 'tips' for your DW if she does most of the cooking. The quarters will bring a smile to her face

Our sink tip-out has a mini cabinet with just the door front tipping. It's deep enough to keep sponges and such.
