It looks like Garmin has them on sale for $399.99. Beats the MSRP! Amazon has them for $399.99 and an ebay seller for $345.
Anyway, I hope you like it. I've been pleased with mine.
Take care,
Stu

Ordered a starter solenoid from Cummins for the Onan generator. The generator kicked and died literally right before we were about to load up. (No AC!) I figured out that the generator gets its running power through the solenoid and it went bad internally. Still not really clear on how it works because it is NOT like an old Ford car setup. Finally figured out that I could run a jumper wire to keep a hot wire to the generator and jump the solenoid to crank the genset. I had the solenoid loose so I could mess with it and noticed if I grounded the metal part of it to the genset chassis with it wired like that it tried to crank the starter while the engine was already running. Not wanting to cut it off I seized my trusty bandanna out of my back pocket and folded it up behind the solenoid bracket. Electrical taped it all sort of in place and left. 250 miles later we pulled in, still running like a charm.
Crossing my fingers the rig will work well enough for the ride back home. We'll see in the morning. A judicious amount of duct tape this time might make it a little more secure. I hope.

Thanks for the reply.
Hope the engine swap goes well and you can get your rig back on the road.

You just saved me $100, we will be getting at credit! A BIG THANK YOU!!
My first official trip with it is coming in a few weeks. I have already built/saved 3 upcoming trips. I like the ease of editing or changing to the less traveled roads/highways in the confort of my home then just popping the unit onto the powered magnetic base in my truck.
